trigger and identity

I am particularly fascinated by forgotten memories recalled by the simplest stimuli, a smell, a place or an object for example, that evokes the retrieval of said event without any conscious effort. My Trigger paintings are collaborations between the subject and myself. The subject records their memory cues and their more significant memories. I literally project those memories onto them via symbolic imagery that I capture. I paint their portrait as if the experience is being projected from them.
