My recent paintings address the “Anatomical Venus” as both a medical reference and a source of beauty that invokes an unsettling desire in the viewer. The Venuses are meant to seduce the viewer with the representation of beautiful and ideal anatomy which creates a distance from something traditionally seen as morbid.
